Themes like artificial intelligence and the autonomy of future robotics solutions will be of decisive importance for the speed of change processes. Whether these new solutions are in the end adopted depends on how well they are accepted in day-to-day operations. To do justice to this topical issue and to gather together the experiences, opportunities, requirements and challenges in the use of robotics in retail processes, the EHI Retail Institute has carried out a survey of leading retail companies in German-speaking regions. At the moment the reasons for using robots differ widely. One retailer might try them out in the areas of service, advice and entertainment, while another uses them as assistants to human operatives in a bid to achieve efficiency and cost-optimisation in logistics. We look forward to discussing “Robotics4Retail” with the visitors and exhibitors of LogiMAT/TradeWorld.
TradeWorld showcases the unique synergies of e-commerce and logistics processes as part of the intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT.
The world of commerce is changing fast. One of the biggest challenges is end-to-end digitalisation and optimisation of all processes and interfaces. LogiMAT, the International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management, and its competence platform TradeWorld, offers valuable orientation and support. As well as the exclusive trade exhibition, the event also features a three-day programme of high-calibre lectures on digital trade.
TradeWorld is featured at the international trade fair LogiMAT that sets new standards as the biggest annual intralogistics exhibition in Europe. LogiMAT 2019 attracted a total of 1,624 exhibitors and 61.740 industry professionals from around the world.
